Associates of the non-profit trade association Independent Distributors of Electronics Association (IDEA) have elected a seven-member board to oversee the organization's charter.
The first IDEA board of directors includes Nick Davis, president and chief executive of Husky International Electronics; Dan DiMase, president of SemiXchange; Schuyler Glidden, president and chief executive of SG Industries; Billy Pursley, vice president of trading of Smith & Associates; Gregg Radell, Electronic Equipment Co.; Tony Romano, founder of American Electronic Resource; and Homey Shorooghi, president of Advanced MP Technology.
The board will hold elections in the coming weeks to determine officers.
IDEA, Princeton Junction, N.J., was created in April to promote quality and educate member companies how to achieve and uphold high business standards in the independent distribution industry. The group plans to hold seminars, panel discussions, conferences, and issue a newsletter to that end.
