LONDON — Freescale Semiconductor Inc. is working with BitDefender Srl (Bucharest, Romania) to provide BitDefender's antivirus and antispam protection on Freescale's VortiQa software.
Freescale is working to support OEMs deliver unified threat management (UTM) and intruder prevention and intruder detections systems (IPS/IDS) within computer systems such as secured routers, VPN routers, secured switches and business gateways. The addition of BitDefender's antivirus and antispam protection further enhances the security capabilities of these new platforms with real-time virus, malware and spam detection. BitDefender protection will be integrated with Freescale's VortiQa application software.
